420 Is Cancelled! Say It Ain’t So!
Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you’ve probably been inundated by the media as well as from your friends and family about the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak originating from Wuhan, China.
As each day passes it seems to show no signs of slowing down, with WHO recently labelling the outbreak as a Pandemic, and Governments around the world are taking precautionary actions including travel bans, city wide shut downs, and cancellations of events within a given city, to name a few.
As a measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19, provincial health officials here in BC have banned all gatherings and events of 250 people or more. Not long afterwards, a statement released by 420 Vancouver organizers as well as the 420 organizers on the Island have announced that the 2020 celebration is now cancelled.
